Commercial development in the Birchwood Crossing area has been long awaited. It is also area of interest for housing development and addresses a need for new residential lots in Johnston.
In addition to the 72,000 square feet of new flex office space, Hubbell Realty is planning a subdivision of 11 single family lots which will make up Birchwood Crossing Plat 8. On Monday, April 15, 2019, the Johnston City Council approved the final plat for this project. The subdivision will be located just north of the new flex office space and west of Timber Ridge Elementary School.
