Redevelopment
Merle Hay Road Study Ready To
Proceed
The City of Johnston has recently selected RDG Planning & Design as the
consultant for a project to explore options for redevelopment in the Merle
Hay Road Corridor in the area North of NW 62nd. Ave. The results of the
study will be used to develop a strategy for increasing commercial
development in the area, and could help property owners to create
developable parcels. Activities that may result from the study range from
coordinating transactions between property owners, assisting property owners
in creating partnerships with adjoining parcels, or the purchase of land to
be held for development. JEDCO is actively involved in this planning
process.
A steering committee comprised
of area property owners and developers has been established to guide the
project. The following are links that will provide more information
